Faceoff Academy →Choosing a camp — a quick checklist
- Why are you going? Skill development, recruiting exposure, or fun-with-friends? Match the camp type to the goal.
- Who's coaching? Bio-check the head coach and the position coaches. College coaches on staff = better exposure.
- What's the ratio? The best evaluation camps run at 8–12 players per coach. Anything > 20 is a mass-camp.
- Recovery time? Two hard camp weeks in a row will wear out anyone at any age. Schedule down time.
- Cost per hour of good coaching? A cheap camp with 30 kids per coach is more expensive than a pricier camp with 8.
