Our mission
The Rocket City Lacrosse Directory exists to help players, parents, coaches, and fans discover lacrosse in North Alabama. Lacrosse in Huntsville is growing fast, but program information is scattered across school sites, private club pages, social media, and word-of-mouth. This directory pulls it all into one clean, mobile-friendly resource.
What you'll find here
- College lacrosse — University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) Chargers men's and women's programs.
- High school teams — boys' and girls' programs at Huntsville, Grissom, Bob Jones, James Clemens, Randolph, Westminster, and more.
- Youth & club programs — Huntsville Lacrosse Club and feeder organizations.
- Rankings — Alabama high school rankings (LaxNumbers, MaxPreps) plus NCAA D-I, D-II, and D-III men's and women's Top-20 pointers.
- Fields & facilities — John Hunt Park, Mill Creek Fields, Joe Davis Stadium.
- Official resources — USA Lacrosse membership, rules, and safety guidelines.
Who we are
Rocket City Lacrosse is an independent community directory run by volunteers who love the sport and live in the Huntsville / Madison County area. We are not affiliated with the University of Alabama in Huntsville, USA Lacrosse, any school district, the NCAA, or any individual club. UAH's colors are used as a nod to our local Division I program.
How we keep listings accurate
Programs are added and updated through two channels:
- Direct submissions from coaches, program directors, and parent volunteers through the Submit a Program form.
- Public sources — official school athletic pages, MaxPreps, LaxNumbers.com, USILA rankings, WLA rankings, and published schedules.
If you spot something out of date, email info@hsvlax.com and we'll fix it.
Editorial standards
We aim to be useful, accurate, and fair:
- We link to primary sources (school pages, official rankings) whenever possible.
- We do not accept payment for inclusion or for favorable placement.
- We do not publish personal contact information for youth players.
- We credit ranking providers (LaxNumbers.com, MaxPreps, USILA, WLA) so readers can follow up at the source.
